For New Year’s we had a night out on the town! It was FABULOUS!!! We had dinner with two other couples at one of my favorite restaurants, Happy Fish. We scarfed down on some sushi and salmon bowls, had a few cocktails of course, and ended the night dancing away to an 80’s cover band (I just can’t get enough of good ol’ 80’s), then sealed the evening with a midnight kiss to ring in the New year! My sister and brother-in-law joined us after dinner and we had an absolute blast. It was so fun to have a night out especially with such great people.
As for new year's resolutions...I hate them, but do have a few.
1. Work out 3X a week
2. Run my first 1/2 marathon
3. Do daily devotions
4. Meal plan each week
5. Find joy and happiness in every single day, even if it's in the tiniest of things.
We'll see how it goes, so far so good!
So sad to have missed the dance party :( Hopefully next year we can make it out and not be such party poopers! We still need a Searcy/Smith dance night though!
ReplyDeleteInitially I was not even going to comment here but I really felt the need to point out error as a believer after i looked at your blog more. We are to rebuke other christians when we see a wrong. I found you from the working moms post written by jessica(dont know her personally)although i am not in agreement with her completely she is bibically sound and knows the bible. You commented how you are a godly christian........ really? Is that why you leave your son to party all night with your husband? Is that why you state that you and your husband love watching people fornicate and do wicked things on television(bachelor) and is that why you justify leaving your son? Do everyone aroudn you a favor.....stop saying you are a christian if you dont live like one. It was very appearant from your comment that it got you all stirred up because you feel so much guilt for doing the wrong thing. it is people like you who give christians a bad name. If you want to party, watch filth and leave your child and work when the bible says not to, go for it but QUIT telling people you are a christian because you are just blasheming!
